एक पुराना मौसम लौटा
याद भरी पुरवाई भी
ऐसा तो कम ही होता है
वो भी हो तनहाई भी

यादों की बौछारों से जब पलकें भीगने लगती हैं
कितनी सौंधी लगती है तब माज़ी की रुसवाई भी

दो-दो शक़्लें दिखती हैं इस बहके से आईने में
मेरे साथ चला आया है आप का इक सौदाई भी

ख़ामोशी का हासिल भी इक लम्बी सी ख़ामोशी है

Sometimes, when the time stands still and the mind remember the moments which can never come back and laughter that has faded into yesterday the silent moments dissolve in to delicate memories which shine like gems in your heart.
Here poet Gulzar , memorise his best and closer person in this poetry.
Generally the time which is pass away,never comes back but he is saying the past and old time once again come back and all that memories also become alive but he complains that it never happen the person,whom he likes much is also present and that pain ,which is in his absence happen also come with him.
In second stanza he is saying '' यादों की बौछारों से '' means a slow rainfall of memories covered his heart and so tears comes in his eyes.
In third stanza he satirically saying that the glass,which is used for look his face shows two faces means he compares that glass with person who cheated him. The glass is also cheater so it is showing two faces in it may be the relative of that person came with the poet ,and settled in his room. here Gulzar uses personification. indirectly shows his intensity about that person, whom he loves much.
In last stanza,here he speakes the importance of silence. some times in silence we communicate lots of things which may be remain unspeakable.Gulzar writes that he is also listened,and he also listen the person,who is heartily connected.
